About Pollard's
In 1996, Bill and Marcia Pollard decided to open a sewing store in Glendora, Southern California. Marcia had always loved sewing and had a dream to open a shop with a nurturing family environment that would welcome sewers of all skill levels. To their delight, Pollard’s Sew Creative was warmly welcomed into the community, and the shop thrived and grew.
In 2002, their daughter Jenny Nobile quit a lucrative career as a professor in the Educational Technology Department at the University of La Verne to work in the family business, a move that she has never regretted. Just four years later, the Pasadena location opened its doors.
Pollard’s is known for their excellent sewing and embroidery classes, their unique one-of-a-kind products, and, of course, their excellent customer service. They are exclusive dealers of Pfaff, Husqvarna Viking and Singer machines.
They offer training and service for all the products they carry and stay up to date with the latest trends and information by attending conferences and trainings throughout the year.
Marcia designs, manufactures and distributes high quality consumer and artisan sewing, quilting and embroidery designs. She has her own exclusive collection of Elegance Threads and designs most of the embroidery patterns that they sell. Many of her designs are carried by sewing machine dealers and sold through the SVP (Singer, Viking and Pfaff) reseller channel.
Pollard’s caters to both longtime sewers, some who have been shopping at Pollards since they first opened their doors twenty-eight years ago, as well as younger, more trendy sewers and quilters who frequent their night classes. Several of their customers are costume design professionals who work for the movie business.
